It was with great excitement that North Vancouver boy, Bo Palmer, was drafted into the CFL. Beginning his football career at the tender age of 8, despite his small size, there were stars in Bo’s future right from the get go. Soon he was smashing records at Windsor Secondary, then leading the SFU team as the offensive MVP. Throughout the years it was obvious that Bo was going places… and with that speed, he was going there fast! At 22 years old, he was picked 33rd overall by the Hamilton TigerCats. Both brains and brawn, Bo will be joining the TiCats in one year, after graduating from SFU with a major in communications, and a minor in criminology.

A surprise party was thrown to celebrate all the hard work and dedication of this talented young athlete. With an endless amount of delicious food, walls adorned with old photos and articles, tearful speeches, and a hoard of fabulous people – a great evening was had by all. When Pigs Fly Pastries was more than happy to make a cake to honour this milestone achievement.

Congratulations, Bo! Can’t wait to see a blur of you in black and gold!
