Please review the following FAQs to learn everything you need to know about ordering from When Pigs Fly Pastries. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact Emily at any time.

How far in advance should an order be placed?

To ensure your needs can be met, it’s recommend you place your order as soon as you have a date!

A minimum of two weeks notice is preferred when placing a cake order, with the exception of wedding cakes. Wedding cakes require more notice, ideally a minimum of three months. Please note that the summer season books up quickly so we recommend placing your order early to ensure that you secure your date.

If your event is sooner than the above mentioned time frames, please contact Emily directly as occasionally exceptions can be made depending on the current orders. Please keep in mind that not all rush orders can be accommodated.

How much do your cakes cost?

As every order is unique, there is no set price list available. The cost of each cake will depend on a number of factors including serving size, ingredients required, complexity of design, hours required for completion and etcetera. For a quote, please contact Emily with the details of your order.

Do you offer tastings?

Unfortunately traditional tastings are not offered at this time. However, mini cupcakes can be made up with assorted cake flavours and fillings (as per your choices) to be picked up and tried at your leisure. Each tasting costs roughly $30 and comes with a breakdown of each cupcake flavour.

How do we get our order? Do we pick it up?

Delivery is available! Generally delivery within the Lower Mainland is just $30. Fees are calculated based on distance travelled. If your location requires an above average delivery fee, you will be notified beforehand. It is recommended that cakes, especially multi-tiered and sculpted cakes, be delivered to ensure they arrive at their destination safely.

Clients may transport cakes themselves if desired, but it is done so at their own risk. When Pigs Fly Pastries is not responsible for cake accidents that occur after the cake has been picked up. If choosing to pick a cake up yourself it is recommended you have a very flat secure surface or an extra body in the car to hold it for the duration of the trip.
